Who thinks and why is the government (state and federal) gaining too much control? - motorcycle helmets army

It seems only that the government deserves a lot of control over daily life. Ex-CA, is trying to ban traditional light bulbs to NJ SA can be tested for alcohol, children, some states have motorcycle helmet laws. Some things are so stupid. What happened to the freedom of Americans to do what they want to do. Army, I support the laws and government, I am a Republican and far. But come on simple, Thet decisions people should be transported. It seems that some laws are made to be made. What happened to only be able to live and enjoy life w / o all the stupid laws that come?
