I had a terrible experience with monovision lenses ...... constant blur of the city was boring ....... There are others, which is more expensive, and I do not know the name, but it was a recipe in the middle and the other on the banks ...... ask your lecture on these glasses ... I was so frustrated that I'm gone back to my old recipe

depends on your age. If you're straight with monovision bifocals after a decent choice. When you get bifocal bifocals for a time have worn is a better option, but only to a certain degree. I prefer people who use both eyes for near and far better depth perception.
Monovision is simple.
It is cheaper and easier to use.
Your eye doctor to be used first to determine in the eyes (and your brain interprets) for the distance.
