Hello I have a motherboard Intel D915GAV and I want an IDE hard drive to install on your computer, but not only because the motherbard SATA drives. I also bought a converter IDE does not recognize the SATA hard drive for any reason. Even if the IDE drive works because I tested it on another computer.

Use the IDE connector on the motherboard! In addition to the MEM-slots and power!
Please refer to the motherboard. It takes two IDE devices
The adapter you bought works, so the plates to see SATA-IDE. I do not think that it is the opposite, an IDE to give opportunity to connect a SATA MB connection. However, it may be wrong - probably were many lotsa times, especially when buying the stock selection!
But why should an IDE to SATA in a MB? It's like when a Volkswagen engine in a Ferrari body.
The SATA drives are cheaper and faster than IDE.
The final solution is to buy an external hard drive rack and your IDE hard drive put in it - Make sure the box accepts IDE drives. He is the USB connection, and it should go.
If you bought the adapter does not work, and your device, probably a bad SATA cable .... I had some of these things .... not with the adapter plug and play work, theres no drivers required .. .. You can also remove the jumper on the back of the camera .....
Updated: Frozen Fire is correct, you have 1 Parallel ATA IDE interface on the motherboard, unless the use of 2 CD or DVD, you can connect a hard drive to this port with a CD or DVD in touch. .. . .
Write me a question, I also have the Yahoo Messenger ....
